Alarm Symptoms
If your pain;
- Has come on suddenly
- Is progressive and relentless
Is associated with;
- Fever
- Vomiting or vomiting blood
- Pain on movement
- Sweating
- Difficulty breathing
- Pregnancy
Then seek urgent medical attention.
No Alarm Symptoms
If you do not have any of the alarm symptoms, but have on-going abdominal pain then you may have an underlying medical problem. If the pain is in the upper, lower or mid tummy, is changed by passing a bowel motion or eating and is predominately occurring during the day, then it may be coming from your gut.
