Current employment:
I am a New Zealand trained Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, practicing as a consultant at Middlemore Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland.
Post FRACP Specialists Training:
Following my training I completed a clinical Fellowship in Hepatology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, and completed a PhD at the University of Queensland on the role of small intestinal permeability and gut microbiota in liver disease. I practiced as a Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Brisbane for 5 years before returning home to New Zealand. I have a strong research interest in gut microbiota and gut leakiness.
