Dr Stephanie Brown

Dr Stephanie Brown is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian specialising in Paediatric and Adult Gastroenterology, Bariatric Nutrition, Hepatology, Disorders of the Gut–Brain Interaction, and SIBO/IMO treatment. She has extensive experience across public hospitals, private practice, and academic settings, and is dedicated to helping individuals and families optimise their health through evidence-based dietary strategies. Stephanie currently works as a Paediatric Gastroenterology Dietitian at Christchurch Hospital, supporting children with complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions. She also provides private care for both paediatric and adult patients with a wide range of gastroenterology and metabolic concerns. In addition, she is a Research Fellow with the Department of Paediatrics, University of Otago, Christchurch. Stephanie lectures internationally for organisations such as Cedars-Sinai’s global Diet in IBD programme and is regularly invited to present her research at national and international conferences.

Stephanie has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on dietary therapies in IBD, exclusive enteral nutrition, and gastroenterology nutrition. She has delivered invited lectures for international programmes in the US, UK, and Australasia, and continues to integrate research into her clinical practice with both children and adults.
