Dr Gansel brings a 30-year background in Dermatology (Germany and the Netherlands) to the practice. Before he moved to New Zealand in 2019, he was experienced in general, surgical, and cosmetic Dermatology and pioneered energy-based treatments for onychomycosis, incontinence, and facial shaping.

He was a spokesperson on behalf of patients in advisory committees of the Federal German Assembly and co-founded several medical societies and magazines. Being an international speaker, he hosted the European Laser Congress in 2012 and chaired multiple conferences. He has published more than 25 papers and five book contributions. After lecturing at three different European universities, he still teaches Laser Medicine at the University of Greifswald.

Reinhard gained Fellowship from the New Zealand Dermatological Society and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and serves as a Senior Medical Officer at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton.
