Rachael Harry
Rachael Harry is a specialist in liver disease or consultant hepatologist. She is one of four hepatologists who work on the national liver and liver transplant unit at Auckland Hospital (NZLTU) and the only specialist practicing in private in New Zealand who specializes only in liver disease. She also runs liver clinics at Whangarei Hospital serving the population of Northland.
Having trained in one of the largest liver units in Europe and having worked as a consultant in both the UK and NZ, she has a wealth of experience in all aspects of liver disease, some of which are listed below. Rachael has a particular interest in autoimmune liver disease and has one of the largest experiences in this field in the country. She is also passionate about delivering healthcare to adolescents and young adults as they transition to adulthood and adult healthcare.
Rachael is known for her relaxed and empathic approach and is happy to see patients with any concerns about their liver health either by self-referral or by referral from another practitioner.
