Miriam Wood

Kia ora, I’m Miriam, a New Zealand registered psychologist with specialised training in health psychology. I am fascinated by the interaction between our minds and our bodies, and helping people use psychology tools to improve both.

I have over a decade of experience as a psychologist in medical teams. I use psychology skills to assist people to manage a range of health problems; supporting adjustment to changes in health, symptom management and helpful behaviour change. I also enjoy working with people to manage work and life stressors and other problems such as worry, anxiety and depression. I am an honorary academic at the University of Auckland and am involved in teaching health psychology interns.

Outside of work, my husband and I have two active boys and enjoy being part of the Cambridge community.
