Dr Tom Wilkinson
Dr Tom Wilkinson is a consultant endocrinologist and diabetologist. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Otago and specialist training through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has been practising as a medical specialist since 2023 and currently works at Christchurch, Southland, and Te Nikau (Greymouth) hospitals. Tom is available to consult in all areas of endocrinology and has particular expertise in diabetes technology and bone health. He has multiple clinical research publications and has presented at international and national conferences. He also works as a senior lecturer at the University of Otago, where he enjoys teaching undergraduate medical students. He sits on the executive of the New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes and training committees of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Tom provides clinics out of the MacMurray Centre in Queenstown and Wānaka Lakes Health Centre. He is also available to consult in Christchurch, as required. Appointments at any of these locations can be booked through the MacMurray Centre.
Outside of work Tom enjoys skiing, tramping, and landscape photography.
