Dr Rajan Patel
Dr Rajan Patel is a consultant gastroenterologist in Christchurch. He completed his undergraduate degree (MBChB (Hons)) at the University of Liverpool Medical School, UK. Rajan went on to complete his gastroenterology training in London (including Kings College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and The Royal London Hospital). He worked as a consultant in North London before moving to New Zealand in 2021. Rajan has an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, advanced luminal endoscopy and clinical research. He has presented at international meetings and published in areas including IBD and endoscopy. Rajan is the gastroenterology training lead at Christchurch Hospital and current secretary of the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology.
