Dr. Michael Reeves
Dr Michael Reeves is a New Zealand and Australian trained General Surgeon, with subspecialty interests in benign upper GI surgery, complex hernia and abdominal wall reconstruction, endocrine surgery and trauma care.
Michael obtained his undergraduate degree from Otago Medical School and completed general surgical training in 2020. In 2021 and 2022 he worked as a consultant general surgeon in Christchurch, before undertaking fellowship positions in Newcastle in 2023 and Melbourne in 2024. He returned to New Zealand in 2025 and is based in Christchurch with his family, while maintaining an interest in rural surgical provision and teaching.
