Caoimhe Condon

Caoimhe, originally from Tipperary, Ireland is a New Zealand registered dietitian with over three years of clinical experience across Ireland and Wales. She has worked in acute, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings providing care for individuals with gastrointestinal conditions including bowel obstruction, diverticular disease, pancreatitis, ulcerative colitis, Chron’s disease and liver disease. Caoimhe began her career within NHS Wales as a Band 5 rotational dietitian, gaining experience in care of the elderly, general rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and diabetes education. Within a year of graduating, she progressed to a band 6 role, becoming a key member of the Prepare Well programme, a newly developed orthopaedic prehabilitation service. Alongside this role, she completed a masters degree and conducted a retrospective cohort study analysing outcomes for elective orthopaedic patients. She later worked in Ireland as a Staff Grade Dietitian, further developing her expertise across both acute and outpatient settings, including general medicine, stroke, gastroenterology, surgical care, and critical care (CCU and ICU). Caoimhe is passionate about combining evidence-based nutrition with a practical, personalised approach to support long-term health outcomes. Outside of her clinical work, she has competed in elite level sport, representing Tipperary in Ladies Gaelic Football and the Irish Banshees Australian Rules Football team.
