Aditya Sheth

Aditya completed his medical school at the University of Auckland, and subsequently his advanced training in Gastroenterology across the Auckland, Manawatu, Wellington and Bay of Plenty regions. He has experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of GI conditions including:

  • Liver disorders
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease
  • Coeliac disease
  • In addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

He is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. He prioritizes clear communication, patient education, and collaborative care, empowering patients to achieve the best outcomes.

Outside of work he is a tennis, golf and surfing enthusiast.

Research

Aditya has conducted research in a number of areas including inflammatory bowel disease, interventional endoscopy, liver disease and liver transplant. He has presented his findings at various national and international scientific meetings, including receiving the National Scholar Award for his work on nutrition in inflammatory bowel disease at the United European Gastroenterology Week meeting in 2023.
